Touchdown Denali!

I finally arrived in Alaska! Unfortunately I was too overwhelmed with all of the new scenery to take pics on my trip from Anchorage to the cabin in Healy. Here's a pic taken later, you can see a few hotels on the right hand side and also how frozen most of the area still is.

This is the Nenana river as viewed from a pedestrian bridge in the Denali Village. The village is known as "Glitter Gulch" for all of its tourist trappings and accommodations. Hardly glittering or over commecialized in my opinion when compared to other National Parks (not so for natvie Alaskans). In fact Denali is refreshingly subdued. For the enormous size of the park the amount of concessions etc are much less than on would see at Yellowstone or Rocky Mountain National Park.
