Emmet was pumped to utilize his bear scare tactics as this griz got too close for comfort. I was concerned but totally pumped to get such a good view of these terrific creatures (we saw 8+). These Toklat river bears are so grizzled they often appear white or yellow, some tourists claim they are polar bears, nope they're just towheads.
Sometimes I wonder if all this hiking and biking I do is just for the food. This Baja Burger was just what I needed after running out of food on day 4, what a great trip!
